Document Summary

Goodness of god does not prevent nature form deceiving us. 1. great difference between mind and body mind is completely different than the body. 2. mind is not immediately affected by all parts of the body, but only by the brain, or perhaps, one small port of the brain, the part containing (cid:1684)common sense(cid:1685) 4. any given movement occurring in the part of the brain that immediately affects the mind produces just one corresponding sensation which is most conducive to the presentation of healthy man. Conclusion: the nature of man as a combination of the mind and bod is such that it is bound to mislead us form time to time, but senses report the truth much more frequently than not. Vast difference between being asleep and awake. We are often liable to make mistakes about certain things, and we must acknowledge the weakness of our nature.
