There is no term that you can be in development so it can last forever (aka. Pay or play commitment = you owe them (writers, actors) the money whether or not you make the movie. Coverage = taking a script or screenplay and reduce it to 2 pages to present to the executives. Hollywood hires a lot of re-writers to take scripts that were promising and turn them into scripts that will be made. You want to find scripts that will have global appeal (since about 60% of the money comes from foreigners) Creative executive a person from talent agency business good with talent and schmoozing, and ultimately brings the movie from a seller (talent agent) to a buyer (studio exec)
