Arbitrator- independent third party w/no stake in outcome. It can be binding (arbitrator

Non-jury Focus Groups- presenting case to retired lawyer or judge. (trial judges have
mandatory retirement age of 70) Private case consultants who assist people in pending non-
jury trials to see how the judge will rule. (Pg.153, 154-157)
