Questionnaire-posted tonight and due friday 9/18 take a screen shot of the number that is shown on the quiz to prove to ta that it was completed. Introduction revision due a little sooner- recheck syllabus. Add in a third or fourth variable to expand on original two. Put into groups based on parameters established and then see how they relate on other variables. Descriptive research (no hypothesis: observations, surveys, ex: nothing beyond describing what the phenomena are. Correlational research: take two pieces of information and see how they are related, ex: those who have aids and see how many friends they have. Experimental research: introduce a manipulation as the experimenter, can make an inference of causation because you have changed something to see how it affects another variable. Converging operations: follows the patter of all three of the above.
