Important for morality: blame for doing something. Presumes that you could have done otherwise: praise for doing something. Presumes that you could have done otherwise. You cannot be praised for not destroying the earth with your telekinetic powers. There are two main types of views: views about whether free will and determinism are compatible, views about whether free will exists or not. The view that free will and determinism are not compatible. The view that free will and determinism are compatible. P is determined to be the case. Thus, q is determined to be the case.
