Jose ta: on friday download r and set up data camp. All homeworks are due on monday nights. Midterms are not cumulative but concepts build off each other. First four parts will be done in class and section. 5-6 will be done individually (analysis and final paper) Subject pool: 2 surveys, sign up when email comes out. First hw is due september 10 (1 hw per week usually) All slides will be posted on canvas after lectures. Office hours: held in separate room than office so can fit more people. Conduct a replicable test of the hypothesis (using a variety of methods - often statistical) Learn to formulate quality theories and testable hypotheses. Learn about data by generating data about politics (survey) Learn how to analyze and interpret these data (statistics)
