After rhea gives birth to zeus, she secretly sends him away, and replaces his body with a rock, in which cronus swallows without hesitation. Was not born fully grown like his father and grandfather. Serves cronus a drink that makes him throw up all of his brothers and sisters, then retires. Leader of the titans in the war against zeus. Once defeated, was now to support the sky instead of the earth. Males are considered the norm, females are considered deviation.
