Evidence
• Physical: most valuable
• Testimonial: eyewitness testimony
Direct Evidence
• Evidence at the point of an issue
• Directly proves a fact
• Conclusively establishes that fact
• Can stand alone to establish probable cause
o Ex. Fingerprints on weapon, video evidence
Circumstantial
• “Trier of fact”
• Series of facts, presented item by item
Corroborative
• Strengthens or adds credibility
Prima Facie
• Good & sufficient on its face
• Does no require expert testimony; certain things we accept as true
Positive
• Directly proves a fact *not the same as direct*
