Training Programs are usually expensive and the first to be easily cut out.
-Training can be cut because it is thought to have low return on investment
 people can absorb and utilize very little from what they learned from training
1. Needs Assessment
What kind of training does these people need?
2. Ensure Readiness
Making sure you have the skills, check for your attitude, is this person going to stay with the
company? Ex. Could ask people who work with you- how is their/your attitude?
3. Create Learning Environment
Do we have the materials or the process to give you feedback on how you’re doing?
4. Ensure Transfer
Transfer of learning- ex. IF we can only afford to send one person through this training, can that
one person pass along and teach the learning back to others? Can they apply their learning?
5. Select Methods
Different methods are more effective- select the best one
6. Evaluate
Did the training help? How much did it help?
