Document Summary

Simone de beauvoir"s existentialism: existentialism being precedes the idea of morality. I am born before i know what is right or even who i am. In discovering our authentic selves we must have the maximum amount of freedom to interact (or not) or connect (or not) with others so we can"t be fully free when others don"t have this same opportunity. E. g. if others are in chains it prevents them from discovering their authentic selves, but it also limits the horizons of possibility for us. But dominion can be established, that is, men can be unified only in a unity against against other men. John stewart mill"s international politics: contrasted greatly from schmitt"s concept of the political, the developed state may help the undeveloped state and when it does, there is a duty to civilize . It is completely justified to help civilize india: the developed state may not interfere in the internal affairs of other developed nations.
