Is a way of viewing the world which emphasizes the importance of ideas. That is, the way we experience the world is constructed by the ideas we have about the world. As knowledge proliferates, much of it becomes collective (symbols, language) Some of this collective knowledge begins to regulate from expectations of what other people will do. These widely accepted standards of behavior are called norms. These thi(cid:374)gs are : analytical category, the idea of states in the international system is a constructive norm, citizenship is a constitutive norm. Gender roles: a set of behaviors that are socially deemed as acceptable for a certain gender. Social facts: things that exist because of human agreement, marriage. Brute facts: things that exist in the world without human agreement.
