Bello
Bello is used extensively in Italian to express admiration, when in English you might say
"beautiful, lovely, superb, nice, wonderful, fine," etc.
Vivere a Bologna è bello.
Living in Bologna is wonderful.
È una bella città.
It's a beautiful city.
You will often hear bello used before a noun.
Che bella giornata!
What a lovely day! feminine
Before the noun, the masculine forms are slightly different from the usual pattern and
are similar to the words for the:

un bel centro
a lovely centre

un bello scandalo
a fine scandal

un bell'uomo
a handsome man

dei bei negozi

i begli strumenti
the beautiful instruments
Un, Uno, Una, Un’
Un, uno, una, un' can mean a/an or one.

un ufficio
an office
Uno is used with masculine words beginning with z or s + consonant:
uno scontrino
a receipt
uno sbaglio
a mistake
Una is used with a feminine word beginning with a consonant:
una bottiglia
a bottle
una città
a town
un' with a feminine word beginning with a vowel:
un'aranciata
an orange drink,
un'ora
