Sacred wood: pierre puvis de chavannes connection to symbolism. Was an influence to seurat in his sense of ambiguity figures flying through space invented classical space. Bathing place at asnieres: georges seurat, very impressionist - idea of impressionism evolving into pointillism. Was a divisionist - an iteration of pointillist.
