In north africa there has been conflict forcing refugees upwards into europe (people from. Not all european countries can take care of these refuges (very taxing on social services) Spain is a main entry point (many refugees trying to make livings in places like barcelona) The immigration/refugees have caused difficulty politically in various countries, (germany has embraced, others have not) some countries welcome the diversity, some governments are opposed by its own citizens to keep them out. Tens of thousands of people are stuck at choke points . Population clusters; some areas very dense, others have almost no people at all (i. e. lots of people center around the rivers- cairo is the largest city in the north african realm) Cultural transitions between arab, sub-saharan, and north african peoples. North africa/southwest asia/middle east is the most complex area in the world (politics, economics etc. ) Egypt and the lower nile basin called the crucible of the realm.
