Why friendships are important and the goals for adult friendships. If the wife passes away the husband might not have social network since the wife is who sets everything up. Very selective that if our friendships do not make us feel good we will not worry about feeling guilty anymore. Sometimes parents are in jail, military, mental or physical health problems, died. Grandparents step in to take the role. Caring and aging with pride project cross-sectional survey includes 11 community agencies that provide services to lgbt older adults. Used mailing lists from the agencies to distribute surveys, providing brief explanation of purpose before distribution of the survey. Included: self-reported health, partnership status, demographic variables, short form of ces-ds (depressive symptoms), race, sexual orientation, education, income, chronic physical illnesses. Lgb older adults more likely to report better health, less depressive symptoms if they have a partner.
