Conception: sperm meets egg, sperm enters egg, 12 weeks. Fully developed, fetus: week 12 - birth. Referred to as a fetus: baby"s re ex"s. Grasping: finger in baby"s palm, won"t let go. Turn to side that you stroke: done during breastfeeding, done during bottle-feeding, baby"s. Can only see about 6 inches from your face. Can see other colors: several months for eyes to learn to focus, 4-6 months - depending on development, development milestones. Development chart - used in order to help both parents and pediatricians: see if baby is developing at rate that it is supposed to be developing. Used to make sure that the baby is working correctly: 2 months. Get kid used to playing in a play-ben: kid can get used to pulling up and building leg muscles, 4-6 months. Baby should be rolling over in this time period. Baby should be able to discern different colors: 1 year.
