Carries sensory info to cns then dispenses it again. Autonomic nervous system: self governing, involuntary task. Breathing, heart rate: homeostasis within body, sympathetic. Fore/ mid brain: control muscles, memories, speech. Alcohol acts same as anesthesia: alcohol in fore brain. Delays motor skills: alcohol in mid brain. Really messed up can"t walk: more alcohol.
