STHM 1311 Lecture Notes - Lecture 1: Ryanair
Document Summary
An organic image is formed as a result of general exposure to newspapers, magazine articles, television shows, movies, and other information sources that do not exist specifically to influence tourists. An induced image refers to an image created by tourist-directed information, such as advertising, brochures, websites, etc. The organic image tends to develop first, and there is little that can be done to influence the formation of an organic image. Marketers try to induce an image using various communication channels. If organic image is set in an individual"s mind, an induced image may be disregarded in favor of the previously held organic image. Alaska : all things wild and wonderful.
