Governors use media to promote their policies. Media plays a role as to who is elected. Easier to attack candidate than talk about issues. Media tends to want to be more fantasized. Micro-targeting - aims ads at certain places. Australian ballot - tell everybody who was voting. States have a huge history of discriminatory federal gov"t checks it, ruled illegal. Can take away people who violate the law. Can take it away from people who are not mentally capable. Florida doesn"t allow voting 7 years after sentence is over. Lots of laws are meant to disenfranchise young people. College students - voter id must match license.
