Thyroid gland: on the neck, t3- triiodothromine, t4- thyroxin, calcitonin. Picture of thyroid gland will be on the test! Thymus gland: more active when you are a child and not as much as an adult, secretes thymosin and thymopietin. Adrenal glands: sits on top of the kidneys, adrenal cortex has three layers, cortex- 2: insulin- decreases glucose level in the blood, glucagon- raises glucose level in the blood.
