Can"t get a lot of answers, can"t solve problems at all: at 5-6, they can get the answers but can"t tell you how they know (cid:523)intuitive(cid:524, can"t do transformations. Focus on individual events rather than evaluating them in sequence. They think of events as independent of each other and not in particular sequences. Egocentrism of perspective taking: classic piaget task is called 3 mountains problem. )f it affects people at all in any way, it"s alive to them. )f it moves, it"s alive: think it"s not alive when it"s not moving, think that things that move on their own are alive, ex: bikes, cars, etc, ex: rivers, clouds, ocean, ex: lights. It decreases with time: most of their language is designed to communicate, egocentric = inner speech out loud, they get better. If you change the way something looks, you have changed it into something else altogether.
