Adaption occurs when the stimulus does not change. Dream interpretation: dreammoods. com, there is no one right answer for dream interpretation, some dreams happen because of life situations. Theories of dreaming: wish fulfillment (freud) We hide most of our deep dark desires. Dream about what we truly want, and when we are awake we don"t do it. Manifest content- the things in the dream, people, plots, story plot. Latent content- symbolic meaning of the dream, hidden meaning: activation-synthesis. Idea that the brain is random firing all the time, but we don"t pay attention to it when we are awake. When we are asleep the brain creates stories from the random firing. Back in the early ages, we knew we could be killed by bigger animals, but most of the time they were not after us. We used our dreams to practice of how to get out of the scary situations.
