To create credible measurements in our research we have 2 tools of assessment: That we actually measure what we mean/intend to measure and that we measure the same phenomenon every time. Make sure that we are assessing the correct variables. Refers to the repeatability of findings -- measures should produce the same result each time. - repeating measurements on the same phenomenon and looking for the same results every time. The word we should think of is consistent/consistency.
