Summary: the class began with a discussion regarding the football games from the previous night. the discussion ended with the class agreeing that sports are indeed the greatest drama. After this, the teacher went over some technicalities and questions regarding the discussion questions and the journal entries. Once the teacher was done speaking, he had two members from the rescue mission talk to the class. These members discussed what the main goal of their organization was and how we, as students, could contribute. With the remaining time in class, we went over the assigned readings which brought us to a discussion about etiquette. New learning: today, i learned valuable information about the syracuse rescue. Mission and how i could ful ll my community service hour requirements. This is an organization that reaches out and tries to help those who are in need. They serve three hot meals a day to anyone in need and also provide shelter for the homeless.
