Document Summary

Being a freshman on campus, my choices are limited as to what i can and cannot eat. There is a small variety of food in the schools dinning halls and students often find themselves eating the same food every night, myself included. I am fortunate enough to live in shaw hall and am provided with a dinning hall on the main floor which spares me the hassle of walking somewhere else to eat. I don"t think it about it to often, but when i do, i realize that i am not entirely sure what is going into my body. I am unaware of who made it, where it came from and the list goes on. Many people throughout the united states underestimate the importance of food and overlook the fact that food is an everyday aspect of our lives and many find themselves unable to understand the food system as a whole.
