People could recycle, ride bikes but they believe they are too small of a change and don"t. Environmental footprint - a person"s culture of production and consumption. This means their laws and decisions on legislature will be based solely on personal desire/gain, rather than being based on the people (which is their job!) Conflict of interest: those in power have serious impact on environmental change. This has been going on since 1952 hurting ecosystem. Greenwashing - company spends more time and money claiming to be green than they actually are. Car companies advertise how they reduce emissions , etc. but their cars are still problematic and bad for the environment.
