It is a mistake to view intelligence as a single trait it could lead young students to give up entirely on education if they are struggling in one subject but because they see themselves as failures. No one"s character is hard like a rock that cannot be changed effort and determination. Personality can be changed even in late 60s. Struggled students can be convinced of this, may be more likely to continue to learn: so what happened? i. ii. iii. In the control group, grades and classroom motivation kept going down and deteriorating.
