Honor killings rising b/c the killers are usually acquitted. Dad is now respected & other daughters have been given proposals. His other daughters know that not to do what their sister did - fear. Showing control over family = gets respect & brings honor. With more men - girls won"t get to positions of power b/c they weren"t in positions of power before. Choose the boy who has more value & status. Lost daughters b/c they lost their country & identity. Thought that having second child will make them lose their comfort.
