Main idea: how the borders of the middle east were drawn and how it is very relevant in your lifetime. It was formed by the states: nation states created the institution itself and needs them for framers. The united nations could therefore be said to be a, League of states, there to protect the integrality of existing states and the states" system. The charter starts with, we the people, with it"s words similar to the declaration of independence. Many of it"s documents are based off of u. s. ideas. A national border is real but in no way is it natural. They are unnatural because of where they should be drawn. National borders are historical but in no way are they permanent. National borders have not existed for thousands of years of human history and may not exist in years from now. *berlin conference 1884 to 1885 partitioning of africa. There was no african participation or input.
