You cannot treat a human being like a means only. We are often useful for one another that"s fine. You have to, though, recognise people as per their status (standard) well: autonomy/freedom. Categorical imperative is distinguished against hypothetical imperative. These three approaches are a formula to humanity. Duty ethic: perfect duty to self, perfect duty to others, imperfect duty to self, imperfect duty to others. Suicide is wrong in all circumstances (type 1) Suicide by ruining your life (another type of suicide) It is always, absolutely, categorically, universally wrong to treat others with disrespect. Comes from two greek words autos and nomos. Comes from greek words heteros and nomos. That"s where your morality comes from and you follow through the law. Absolute devotion to the law and hence my freedom. Your dignity stems from the fact that you can rise above other things and listen to your own will- that"s what human dignity is.
