(its believable) Or even a mental conflict: why is the narrator portraying the characters in a certain way. ( our hero, our soldier narrator wants the soldier to win, what do the characters represent, revelations: If the character is portrayed as sympathetic, or a character that your don"t like. Is there a purpose/reason for someone to judge. Characters talking with each other can reveal their relationship or position: main characters: protagonists. Often have a problem with another character that character being the antagonist: minor characters. But pay attention to a character"s behavior, do they learn a lesson at the end of the story etc : ex. Main characters, minor characters, do they represent society as a whole: how the characters relate to one another and why.
