The taiga biome is the largest terrestrial biome. It is known as the coniferous forest or boreal forest. It usually has short and wet summers while their winters are cold and long. The temperate forest biome are trees that lose their leaves every year. The trees are found in areas of winters that aren"t too cold and warm summers. The chaparral biome or often referred to as the. Mediterranean forest, woodland, or scrub biome are located in many different terrains. They can be found in mountains, flat plains, or rocky hills. The tropical rainforest is in areas where the climate has no dry seasons. All the months have to at least have 60mm of average precipitation. A desert is a barren area where there is barely any rain and the living conditions are hostile for plants and animals. The temperate grasslands are just large grouping of grasslands that include tropical savannas. Inland wetlands are not affected by tides.
