You"re about to think about your thoughts differently as time goes on. Authoritarian parenting: strict, more punishment, not always have a good understanding of whats developmentally appropriate. Permissive parenting: let many things slide, spoil kids, sugar coat things, not a lot of punishment. Authoritative parenting: may punish them but will also acknowledge their attempts, support them when they do things well, tends to be most effective parenting method. Emerging adulthood: about ages 18-25, brain structure changes continue after the age of 18. Between the ages of 20 and 40 we experience decline in muscle mass, hearing and eyesight.
