Engage with other ideas that may be better: no, only if we have time, some good ideas don"t make the cut. Next release: postpone some new feature until a later date. Really: some requests are fundamentally out of line with the long-term goals that you have to say. Guerilla tactics: savvier tactics, know who has authority. Convince someone who can influence decisions and bring them to meetings: go to the source.
