Staying due to the organization investing into them. Would feel awful if they left, staying is the right thing to do. 15 item, first attempt to measure organizational commitment. Items did not measure the concept definition well. Deficiency - some aspects of commitment not represented. Contamination - some items better match other concepts. Other concepts that are not commitment, may be related to commitment. Most (75%) subject matter experts (smes) rated the following 6 items as problematic for content validity. Smes - people who are familiar with the concepts we are trying to measure. To improve contend validity, we would consider deleting items because the item content overlaps with other construct definitions. Same 6 item also had poor construct validity among survey respondents using a confirmatory factor analysis.
