Gets info from all over brain, including sensory thalamus and sensory cortex. Projects to hypothalamus, midbrain, pons, medulla to coordinate emotional response. Central nucleus is the output nucleus to express emotional response. ~central nucleus (ce) is the most thing in brain for expressing emotion in response to aversive stimuli. ~thus amygdala/ce lesions cause more tame response when presented with danger.
