Instead of bell with meat, replace meat with red light. light will trigger salivation but weaker. Ex: hungry -> consequence was eating food at elmo"s diner-> Ex: funny -> rewarding stimulus-- laughing-> make more jokes. Ex: when lights flash, press lever to get food. Cumulative recorder outside box records rat"s responses.
