An organization within which which independent (sovereign) states work to encourage cooperation and pooling of authority and resources for mutual benefit of its members. Most of the scholars are in the ir consider eu to be an integration association. Realist theories: a state is only concerned with self sufficiency and self reliance because the world is anarchic and there is no centralized government in the world. The only thing the states can do is self reliance (for economy, trade, politics, and security) This is the system of self help. There will always be a country that is better than you and can take o(cid:448)er you so you do(cid:374)"t (cid:449)a(cid:374)t to rely o(cid:374) a(cid:374)y o(cid:374)e else. Realists (cid:271)elie(cid:448)e that (cid:449)hat (cid:449)e see i(cid:374) the eu (cid:449)o(cid:374)"t last (cid:448)ery long. There were so many alliances in the world and if people did not feed the needs of those places then the alliance will fall apart.
