Mass genocide shapes culture, less jews in europe. If south won civil war, our culture would"ve been different. Living by coast = eating more fish. China is interdependent (we), usa is independent ( i ) Typically with age, people are less tolerant with uncertainty. Older people used to have less information about products and services before, but now younger people have all info. More dominant + more ethnic = integrated. Strongly identify with dominant culture and also their ethnic culture. More dominant + less ethnic = assimilated. No longer connect with the cultural elements, only with dominant culture. Less dominant + more ethnic = separated. Don"t connect to more dominant elements, only with original culture. Not connected with either, feel left out.
