Slow: ap fired w/o regard to stimulus: dorsal-column-medial lemniscal pathway: pathway for a axons, carry information about touch to brian; only takes 3 neurons from skin brain. Primary afferent axon: come in through dorsal root dorsal column goes all the way up the spinal cord (ipsilateral - stays on the same side of the spinal cord) synapse at brain stem. Cell body in the brain stem sends axon that crosses midline to opposite side axon goes through thalamus synapse at vp nucleus of thalamus.
