D. ovules and the production of eggs (important: figure 30. 3: female gametophyte develops from megaspore and produces eggs, ovule- megasporangium + megaspore + integuments, integuments- protective sporophyte tissue around megasporangium, form seed coat, gymnosperm: 1 integument, angiosperms: 2 integuments.
