Document Summary

Answer: moving the light around is an important part of sheldon"s process because she wants to see the different ways that the light hits the food. She photographs foods with different shapes and textures. As she experiments with the placement of the lighting, she can see how the light captures the food"s texture and shape. Sometimes the light will highlight certain parts of the shape and texture of the food, while other times it will make a shadow. After adjusting the lighting a few times, she will be able to get an idea of where the shadows will be in the picture and determine if she should use harsh or soft lighting. Each picture she takes that has a different light source will most likely have a different mood. Answer: i think that sheldon uses backlighting in most of her photographs because it helps the colors of the food stand out.
