A family is a group of two or more people related by birth, marriage, or adoption, and residing together. Household are all persons or groups of persons who occupy a dwelling suck as a house, apartment, single room, or other space intended to be living quarters. Family and households are not necessarily the same thing. 1950"s 90% of households were also considered families today- approximately 70% of households are also considered families. Traditional family = married couples with children in which only the husband works. Family- shared biological, legal, cultural, and/or emotional tie and some since of a future together. Social group held together by a common purpose.
