Taurine deiciency- irreversible retinal damage, heart condition, abnormal development. Arachidonic acid deiciency- inhibition of inlammation, poor functioning of digestive system. Needs are universal b/c all pet ferrets same species. Hypercarnivores: need diet high in animal protein; no plants consumed unless inside bodies of prey. Finickiness- can be challenging to get them to eat certain foods.
