Memory persistence of learning overtime through the storage and retrieval of info. The implicit memory is processed in many places of the cerebellum. Used for facts, general knowledge personally experienced events. Retrieval getting information out: recall try to generate information and decide whether it"s right or wrong e. g. fill in the blank. Recognition the measure of memory in which a person only identify items previously learned. Memory construction: misinformation - effect when people misremember, imagination inflation when you imagine an event, you will create a false memory, source amnesia the wrong source of event we experience, young children"s eyewitness reports. Improving memory: study repeatedly spaced practice, make new materials personally meaningful, recreate context and moods in which original learning occurred, mnemonic devices, minimize interference study before sleep. Reduce retroactive interference: test your knowledge, rehearsal the process in which information is repeated over and over in other to remember it, determine what you still need to learn.
