Phobias- if able to get to the root of a phobia like snakes, often if the history can be accurately traced an instance is usually found to have caused this phobia. Grandmas and baby love doritos, everyone does. Grandma and baby teaming up to get the doritos. Sometimes you don"t have to be on the receiving end of an experience to gain a fear of the situation. Kids lining up to get a shot, almost like a domino effect but not all of the kids necessarily get scared by it. Development of a nausea or aversive response to a particular taste because that taste was followed by a nausea reaction, occurring after only on association. Unlike pavlov"s dogs this association can be formed very quickly and this is most likely to improve survival. The eating and the aversive side of it do not have to be paired.
