Over the past few years, people have wondered if some police officers are actually doing their jobs. Some police officers may have rebelled in ways that have made people question their ability to keep citizens safe and secure in their own neighborhoods. Police force is often known as the use of excessive and unnecessary power by officers when dealing with citizens. (s: thesis statement) The fact is that most of these incidents go unnoticed and most of them are not reported. Supporters of the police force have argued that some officers are doing their jobs appropriately, opponents such as the black lives matter association who contend that using excessive police force is wrong. Till this day, this issue is dividing not only our community, but our nation. Some people argue that even though the police are using force, the use of force is 100% appropriate. Others contend that the use of force is considered abuse against citizens.
