Definitions: child abuse prevention and treatment act (capta) 1974, 2010, child maltreatment = Harm standard = any recent act/failure to act on part of parent/caretaker which results in death, serious physical or emotional harm, or sexual abuse or exploitation (harm is required outcome) Endangerment outcome = act/failure to act which presents imminent risk of serious harm: child abuse (definition for pennsylvania = intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causing: Sexual abuse of exploitation of a child.
