Transference (set fires to compensate another urge) Sociological: crimes happen because of social disorganization, zones of transition. Refers to the actual lines that borders each zone of life. Crime occurs most on those borders because there"s disorganization: differential association theory. Learning theory for criminal values: neutralization theory. How some criminals cope with being a criminal. As a coping method for what they did. Deny any harm was done: labeling theory. May not be the same as perceived reaction. New label causes person to act in that way. Becomes an actual criminal: feminist criminology.
