Critical thinking strongly encourages learning how to think rather than simply what to think. Logic is an important part of critical thinking and strongly encourages great analytical skills. Logic is the (cid:498)study of the methods and principles used in distinguishing correct (cid:523)good(cid:524) arguments from incorrect (cid:523)bad(cid:524) arguments(cid:499) Opinions are built on (cid:498)personal feelings and experiences rather than on credible and reliable evidence that has been analyze and organized into a coherent position. (cid:499) Dualism: there are right and wrong answers, authorities (people in power) most of the time are correct. Relativism: everyone can have a personal belief and opinion. No right or wrong answers are truly acknowledged. Commitment: everyone should think of both reason and wrong evidence to make a choice. Received: right and wrong answers are present, authorities (people in power) are mostly viewed as right. Subjective: all facts are a matter of personal beliefs. Procedural: students learn to how to use the system.
